ACU students shine at UniSport Nationals in Gold Coast

The UniSport Nationals is the pinnacle of university sports in Australia, bringing together student athletes from across the country to compete in various sporting disciplines. ACU had 77 student athletes competing in across nine sports.
The commitment from these students was remarkable, with an exhibition of exceptional skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship to win five gold, two silver and two bronze medals.
ACU women’s netball, football and water polo teams all won gold in Division 1 the women’s basketball team claimed a Division 2 gold medal and surfer Anna Toohey brought home gold in women’s longboard surfing.
ACU taekwondo students also claimed a swag of silver and bronze medals while other student athletes put in a determined effort in mixed touch football, men’s basketball, women’s beach volleyball and kendo.
ACU Sport couldn't be prouder of the students who donned the ACU colours and gave their all on the Gold Coast. It was a great week summarised by this comment.
“(I) really loved the support. From staff to team-to-team support – it’s been really lovely to see and be part of this event. (I’m) proud to be an ACU student right now.”
