Compete against the other 41 universities across Australia head to head in a number of national standard sporting competitions.
Nationals consists of a Div1 and Div 2 competition where many team sports are played. Choose from waterpolo, netball, football, basketball, hockey, touch football, Rugby 7's as well as indoor and beach volleyball among others. There are also a number of standalone national championship events throughout the year such as swimming, athletics, 3x3 basketball, T20 cricket, surfing, triathlon and snow sports. Many of these events require the ACU team to travel to regional and interstate areas and compete against the other 41 Australian Universities.
ACU participates in intervarsity events throughout the year. These include standalone sports over a one or two-day period against other local or regional universities. These events are great at encouraging friendly rivalry against those other universities closest to our campuses and helps prepare us for the Nationals events.
UniRoos is a selected team of student athletes that compete against other universities across the globe in events such as Summer Universiade, World Uni Championships, Winter Universiade and University World Cups.
Selection in these events is based on National Sports Organisations and other UniSport relevant events. ACU student athletes have an opportunity to be selected in these events. For more information contact our EAPP team or your National Sports Organisation.
