With Sports including Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Touch Football, Water Polo and Oztag, there are pathways for students to compete.

UniSport Nationals

Unisport Nationals offer both Division 1 and Division 2 competitions across a wide range of individual and team sports. From individual events like fencing, Tenpin bowling and Taekwondo to team sports including Volleyball, Basketball, Netball, Soccer, Touch Football, Water Polo and Oztag, there is great opportunity to compete.

This year’s Unisport Nationals will be held in Perth, alongside standalone championships throughout the year in sports such as Swimming, Athletics, Cricket and more.

ACU teams regularly travel both regionally and interstate to compete against athletes from 42 universities across Australia. For key dates and event details, please refer to the 2026 calendar to the right.

Intervarsity

ACU participates in intervarsity events throughout the year. These include standalone sports over a one or two-day period against other local or regional universities. These events are great at encouraging friendly rivalry against those other universities closest to our campuses and helps prepare us for the Nationals events.

UniRoos

Are you performing at the top of your sport? You could have the opportunity to be selected for the Australian UniRoos and compete on the international stage.

The UniRoos bring together Australia’s best university athletes across a range of sports. Every two years, they represent Australia at the Summer and Winter World University games, competing against the best from around the globe.

In alternate years, the UniRoos continue to showcase their talent at the World University Championships. For athletes with international ambitions, this is where representing your university can lead to representing your country.

T20 Cricket

ACU will be competing in the T20 cricket nationals in 2026. T20 cricket will be contested in both men’s and women’s competitions on the Sunshine Coast, QLD on the 27-31 July. Marches will be spread out across various venues including Maroochydore Cricket Club and Caloundra Cricket Club.
