Aimed at children aged five to 12, our Brisbane holiday clinic will take a fun approach to learning movement and techniques across multiple sports, including Australian rules football and touch football. 

Working with qualified coaches, they’ll develop their sport skills and experience gameplay while having fun and making new friends.

No previous experience is required to attend.

Participants will be placed into groups based on their age.

Children will develop their sport and movement skills in sports such as martial arts, ultimate frisbee, soccer and more while having fun and making new friends.
No previous experience is required to attend. Participants will be placed into groups based on their age.

Frequently asked questions

ACU takes COVID-19 safety seriously and have put measures in place to ensure the safety of the participants, ACU staff and students. ACU is continually monitoring the situation and is following advice from Queensland Health and Australia’s Chief Medical Officer, we’re working closely with Universities Australia, and have developed a pandemic plan to respond to a major coronavirus outbreak in Australia.
All ACU Brisbane and Sydney School Holiday Clinic participants will be:

  • checked in on arrival
  • asked not to attend if they are feeling unwell or have been sick days prior to the event
  • asked to keep good personal hygiene and hand sanitise regularly (hand sanitiser will be provided)
  • asked to take social and physical distancing into consideration for all drills, games and activities.

A single day is $80 or two-day clinic is $145. All prices include GST.
Check in commences daily from 8.30am and the clinic hours are 9am – 3pm. Parents are required to pick up their child between 3 – 3.15pm. There will be a $20 late fee for every 30 minutes a child is not collected.
Please notify staff prior to taking your child so that they can be signed out.

Yes, of course. In the unlikely event of an incident or an emergency, you will be contacted by the Program Director.
  • morning tea/snacks, lunch and a reusable water bottle
  • swimmers (including sun shirt if preferred), goggles and towel (if required)
  • a waterproof jacket (if required)
  • sunscreen
  • running shoes (open-toe shoes are not permitted) and a hat
  • a spare change of clothes

Scheduled breaks will take place during the day for water, morning tea and lunch. Children will be supervised by ACU Sport staff, coaches and volunteers during these times.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch, however this is not necessary. There is also a café onsite if you arrive early to collect your child or would like to stay during the day.
There is no discount if multiple siblings are taking part in the program.

The clinic will be held at our ACU Brisbane Campus between our onsite sports field, swimming pool and sports court. The address of the campus is 1100 Nudgee Road, Banyo.

The clinic for Sydney will be held at our ACU Strathfield Campus on our Sports Fields. The address of the campus is 25A Barker Road, Strathfield.


No equipment necessary. The clinic will provide everything that's required.
A refund of 50 per cent of the registration cost is granted due to medical purposes. A valid medical certificate must be provided to ACU at least 24 hours prior to the clinic commencing. If you child is unwell the morning of the clinic, we ask that you do not bring them to the clinic.
Children are to wear casual sports clothing. All children must wear enclosed shoes. Sneakers are required.

There will be at least one staff member (ACU volunteer) to every 11 children. All staff and volunteers are first aid trained and have a current Working with Children Check.

Once you have registered and paid online, you will receive a confirmation receipt and email containing further important information. There is a cap placed on registrations, so if the day is showing as unavailable online, the clinic is at capacity.
All skill levels are welcome, including beginners. Our school holiday clinic is about having fun, as well as learning new skills and making friends.

Brisbane - check in will be on the ACU sports court, Building 255 (top right on below map). Parking is best in P6, entry via either Earnshaw Road or from Nudgee Road. Enter the campus main gates and take the first right at the bottom of hill. Follow the road around past the sports court to the park.

Sydney- check in will be on the Strathfield Campus playing fields. There is parking available in the carpark located next to the fields, accessed via Barker Road.


No. Parents must provide their child with morning tea and lunch. They are not to bring any food items that contain or have traces of nuts. There is a café on campus that children may purchase lunch from that does offer nut products, however supervisors will ensure children are unable to purchase these items.

Please advise via the online registration form that your child has a medical issue and requires medication during the clinic. You will need to complete the ACU medical form. This form can be downloaded from the registration page or it can be sent to you by emailing jennifer.doxanakis@acu.edu.au (Brisbane) or elysha.o’neill@acu.edu.au (Sydney) 

The form must be provided to ACU staff during check in, as well as the medication, which is to be clearly labelled (child’s name, dose and times if applicable) and provided in a sealed bag.


Our clinic is open to children aged 5 – 12 years. Although the clinic will have specific sessions around skills and techniques, each session will be modified to suit your child’s age and skill level.
Children will be grouped into age categories (5 – 7, 8 – 10 and 11 – 12) to allow them to be with their peers. However, there may be instances where coaches combine sessions depending on numbers. Safety is our number one priority and we will ensure all activities do not pose any risk to your child.

Yes, we have a wet weather plan in the event of poor weather. 

Each session will be led by qualified coaches for each particular sport, plus sport volunteers, ACU Sport staff and the Clinic Manager. ACU is drawing on coaches from our partner clubs and a host of ACU student club coaches.

Yes, however you must advise our staff during check in that this is the arrangement. Our staff will require their full name and contact number.
